After a long and exhausting climb, I reached this remote alpine lake just as darkness fell. Tired but determined, I set up my tent and watched the Milky Way rise above the mountains, perfectly reflected in the still water. Shortly after capturing this image, thunder rolled through the valley. A storm was approaching, and with no phone signal, all I could do was retreat into my tent and wait. Moments like these are why I love mountain photography. The effort, the uncertainty, and the reward. Looking back, every step of the climb was worth it.
